- ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system (12 digits) for sound recordings and music video recordings.
- Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording which can be permanently encoded into a product as its digital fingerprint.
- Encoded ISRC provides the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments.
- The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry recommends that all musicians acquire and use an ISRC for all recorded material ready for release. For more information about ISRC contact PPLUK.
- CD-TEXT allows for storage of additional information (e.g. album name, song name, and artist) and is an extension of the Red Book Compact Disc specifications standard for audio CDs. The information is stored in the lead-in area of the CD. Support for CD-Text is common, but certainly not universal.
- DDP is a data format developed that all audio and subcodes necessary to create a Red Book standard CD.
- It is the only format that the majority CD pressing plants will accept if you wish to upload your master as a data file to them, rather than ship them a physical disc. The reason for this is it keeps CD errors to an absolute minimum.
This is strongly recommended if you want to do CD replication.
When you provide us with your registered codes we can create a DDP Project file set to Red Book standard, ready to produce the Glass Master from which your CD’s will be made.
